Markets explained
Which football markets can I bet on?
These six cover most of what people bet on. Big fixtures add corners, cards and goalscorer markets on top.
Over/under goals
Will the match have more or fewer goals than the line? Over 2.5 needs three or more goals, and under 2.5 needs two or fewer.
Both teams to score
Yes if each side scores at least once, no if either team keeps a clean sheet. The final scoreline doesn't matter.
Double chance
Cover two of the three outcomes in one bet: home or draw, away or draw, or home or away. It lands more often, so the price is shorter.
Asian handicap
One team starts with a goal head start or deficit, which removes the draw. Some lines give your stake back instead of a loss.
Correct score
Name the exact final score. It's hard to get right, which is why the prices are long. Keep stakes small.
Do extra time and penalties count?
Usually not. Match result, goals and handicap markets settle on the score at the end of normal time, stoppage time included. Extra time and penalty shootouts only count in markets that say so in the name, such as "To qualify" or "To lift the trophy". In a knockout game, a 1X2 bet on a draw wins if it's level after 90 minutes, even if one team goes through later.

How does Asian handicap work?
The handicap is added to your team's score at full time. Half-goal lines always have a winner. Whole-goal lines can land exactly, and then your stake is refunded.

Reading odds
How do I read football odds?
Goexch shows decimal odds. Multiply your stake by the price to get your total return, stake included. To turn a price into the chance the market gives an outcome, divide 1 by the odds.
If you think a team wins more often than the price suggests, the bet has value. If you think it wins less often, you can lay it on the exchange instead of backing it.

1 ÷ 2.50 = 0.40. A winning ₹400 back bet returns ₹1,000, which is ₹600 profit.
In-play
What should I watch when betting live?
In-play prices follow the match. Markets pause for a moment after goals, penalties and VAR checks, then reopen at the new price.
Early goals
A goal in the first 20 minutes reshapes the result and goals lines straight away.
Red cards
Going down to ten men usually moves the price more than a goal does.
Injuries and subs
Losing a key striker or centre back can change how a team plays the rest of the match.
The clock
Under-goal prices shorten as time passes without a goal, so timing matters.
