Momentum
Live prices show how likely each outcome looks after the latest ball. These are the moments that move them most. The exact change depends on the match situation.
| What happens | What it usually does to the market |
|---|---|
| Wicket | The batting side's price usually drifts. The market is often suspended for a few seconds first. |
| Boundary or a big over | The batting side's price usually shortens, and session lines move up. |
| Review (DRS) | Markets are usually suspended until the decision is given. |
| End of the powerplay or a bowling change | Session lines for the next overs are often reset. |
| Rain or a delay | Markets may be suspended. If overs are reduced after a session opened, that session is void. |
Six steps
Live bets work like any other bet. The difference is that the price can change while you're placing it. New to betting? Read how to place a cricket bet first.
Step 1 of 6
Log in and open Cricket. Matches in progress are listed first. Tap one to see the markets open right now.
Step 2 of 6
Match odds stay open for most of the game. Session markets cover the runs by a set over, and fancy markets cover things like a batter's score or the next wicket.
Step 3 of 6
After a wicket, a boundary or a review the market is often suspended while prices reset. No bets are accepted until it reopens.
Step 4 of 6
Back if you think it will happen, lay if you think it won't. Decide your stake before the over starts, so you're not typing it while the price moves.
Step 5 of 6
Look at your open bets. If the price moved before your bet was taken, it may be only partly matched or still waiting at your price.
Step 6 of 6
You can leave the bet to settle on the result, or place an opposite bet to lock in a profit or cut a loss if the price has moved.
In-play markets

The batting team's total at the end of a set over, such as 6, 10 or 15. Extras count, and super overs don't.
A batter's runs, the fall of the next wicket and similar events during the innings.
Whether the total for a period of play goes over or under a line.

Worked example
On an exchange you can trade out of a bet by placing the opposite one. Say you back India at 3.00 for ₹100 before the match. After a strong powerplay, India's price drops to 2.00. You lay India for ₹150 at 2.00.
The lay stake that evens it out is back stake × back odds ÷ current odds: ₹100 × 3.00 ÷ 2.00 = ₹150. It works the other way too. If the price had drifted, the same sum shows how much to lay to cut your loss to the same amount on both outcomes.
Live markets move fast and never stop offering another bet. Set your rules before the first ball.
